Result Most of the patients had the clinical manifestation of right abdominal pain accomplished with right shoulder or right back pain , and some patients had the clinical manifestation of nausea , fever and jaundice at the same time .

In the 50 patients , 25 hadn 't significant symptoms , 21 suffered right upper abdominal pain and 4 had the fever .

Results ( 1 ) Clinical results : 8 cases ( 44.4 % ) had right lower abdominal pain , 12 cases ( 66.7 % ) had palpable abdominal mass .

Complications occurred in 3 cases : 1 case of transection of the common bile duct , 1 case of appendicular artery bleeding , and 1 case of right lower abdominal pain with unknown causes .

In the series , 36 cases ( 75 % ) resulted from infection of the biliary tract , 20 cases ( 47.9 % ) were accompanied with diabetes mellitus and fever , right upper abdominal pain and leukocytosis were the main symptoms .
